Area of application
Fine silicate plaster for textured interior finishes. Ideal for use on mineral substrates, plasterboard and drywall panels. Can also be applied to matt, absorbent emulsion paints.
Preparation
The substrate must be solid, dry, sound, clean and free from release agents. Remove any old paint that is not firmly adhering, distemper and loose plaster. Pre-treat highly absorbent, sandy and chalky substrates with proMineral primer.
Processing
Stir the mineral fine plaster thoroughly before use and apply with a roller, brush or paintbrush. Do not apply when the substrate or room temperature is below +5 °C. Clean tools with water immediately after use.
Tinting:
For coloured finishes, the mineral fine plaster can be tinted with a maximum of 5% universal tinting concentrates (LW-Oxyd types only) or with proMineral coloured paints.
Overcoating:
Mineral Fine Plaster is suitable as a decorative top coat, but can also be overpainted. proMineral Interior White, for example, is recommended for this purpose.
Drying time:
Under normal conditions (20 °C, 65% relative humidity, moderately absorbent substrate), the drying time is approx. 8–12 hours. Under unfavourable conditions (e.g. low temperature or high humidity), the drying time may be extended.
Consumption
1 kg is sufficient for approx. 1.8–2.5 m² with a single coat – depending on the condition of the substrate. Determine the exact amount required by carrying out a test application on the surface.
Storage
Store containers tightly sealed in a cool place, but away from frost. Do not allow the product to enter the sewer system, watercourses or the ground. Only send completely empty containers for recycling. Dried-out residues can be disposed of with household waste or as construction site waste.
Notes
Keep out of the reach of children. Due to the high pH value, avoid contact with the eyes and skin. It is recommended that you wear gloves and safety goggles (not glass). In case of skin contact, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water. In case of eye contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice if necessary.
